A very large and heavy book which weighs nearly 15 pounds and measures 5 inches thick. The NYSE commissioned Hemming to write and produce this massive volume to commemorate the NYSE moving into the current building which happened in 1904. It was privately published and presented as a gift to select members of the NYSE. It is estimated that between 20 to 25 copies were ever published due to the high cost of production.

The book contains 354 steel engravings on high quality thick stock paper, each one protected by a tissue guard. The top edge of the text block is gold gilt.

Original boards and spine of the book are retained. There has been a new cover laid over but the spine under is all original. The leather covers show some chipping and wear, but the covers are original.
