Qualifications

  • Ideal candidate has a proven track record of prospecting new financial services clients with a verifiable ability to close business. Candidate must be outgoing, personable, focused and understand that success requires dedication and hard work
  • Prior experience as a financial advisor, wealth manager, investment consultant, stockbroker or finance manager is essential. Existing client relationships is preferred.
  • Sales experience with a proven track record of success is required.
  • Must be driven to sell and continually learn about the benefits of passive investing
  • College degree or qualified experience required
  • Series 65 required (will assist qualified candidates in obtaining)

Role Description

The Institutional Investment Consultant is a full-time remote role based in the Philadelphia area. This role focuses on providing institutional clients with objective, data-driven investment consulting services aligned with IFA’s fiduciary standards and evidence-based strategies. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing institutional portfolios, developing and presenting investment policy recommendations, and designing risk-appropriate, globally diversified, and tax-managed investment solutions. The consultant collaborates with internal teams to prepare proposals, performance reports, and educational materials, and meets with institutional stakeholders to communicate strategy, performance, and ongoing recommendations. The role also involves maintaining strong client relationships, responding to inquiries, supporting plan design and monitoring, and staying current on market developments, regulatory changes, and best practices in institutional investment management.

  • Candidates should possess strong Finance and Investments knowledge, including familiarity with institutional investment strategies and evidence-based portfolio design.
  • Candidates should possess skills in Financial Planning and Investment Strategies, with the ability to align institutional objectives, risk profiles, and policy guidelines.
  • Candidates should possess robust Customer Service skills, with a focus on building long-term institutional relationships and delivering clear, professional communication.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; advanced credentials such as CFA or CFP are highly beneficial.
  • Experience working with institutional clients (e.g., retirement plans, endowments, foundations) and knowledge of ERISA and relevant regulations is preferred.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and Excel skills, with the ability to interpret performance data and prepare client-ready reports and presentations.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid environment, manage multiple engagements, and maintain high ethical and professional standards.
