Retirement Plan Specialist

Index Fund Advisors (IFA) is expanding our presence in the retirement plan marketplace. We are seeking a self-motivated individual with a demonstrated track record of prospecting and closing retirement plan clients. In this role you will work closely with IFA's Retirement Services Department to deliver low-cost, passively managed and evidence-based investment strategies with a fiduciary standard of care. IFA utilizes our established relationships with retirement plan record keepers and third-party administrators to assist new and existing retirement plan clients with identifying efficient, cost effective administrative solutions.

Sr. Client Services Specialist

This position reports to the Director of Client Services and will provide support for our Investment Advisors. Experience working with Institutional platforms such as Charles Schwab, Fidelity and TD Ameritrade opening accounts, working on ACATs/Non-ACATs, money movement, reviewing and submitting trades requests, preparing and auditing performance reports and client invoices and managing security cost basis. Experience working directly with Advisors, Clients and Third Parties addressing any client service needs.

Required Experience:

  • Has worked with senior advisory staff with books in excess of $250M
  • Extensive experience in investment servicing and management
  • Multi-tasking ability to answer calls, work with other departments in completing tasks and track current work in progress through to completion
  • Ability to prepare and understand Portfolio Performance Reports and identify and resolve errors in reporting

Reporting to the Director of Tax, the Senior Tax Accountant is part of a team providing tax services for a diverse client base. The Senior Tax Accountant is a team player who can bring a passion for taxes in support of the Director of Tax, facilitate the accurate preparation and filing of tax forms, provide innovative tax planning and review complex income tax returns.

The Senior Tax Accountant will be able to handle multiple priorities concurrently including the preparation of state and federal income tax returns, perform tax research, and execute other complex tax accounting functions, and you come with a good understanding of tax regulations and accounting pronouncements that could include:

  • Prepare individual, partnership, trust, estate, and corporation tax returns
  • Prepare correspondence to tax authorities
  • Prepare detailed work papers
  • Identify accounting and income tax issues and propose strategies for resolution
