Wealth Advisor Representative

Qualifications

  • Prior experience as a financial advisor, wealth manager, investment consultant, stockbroker or finance manager preferred, but open to exceptional candidates from any field with transferrable skills

In-House CPA

We are expanding our client service model and are seeking a highly qualified CPA to provide tax advice, tax planning and tax preparation services. The ideal candidate will thrive on researching and solving tax related issues for high and ultra-high net worth clients. The ability to effectively communicate advanced tax concepts and solutions to multiple constituents is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Interface and coordinate with IFA’s Wealth Advisors to develop, implement and monitor tax strategies for the firm’s clientele.
  • Prepare, review and provide advice on individual, business, partnership, gift and trust tax returns.
  • Utilize experience to consult on estate tax design, probate and asset placement optimization for high and ultra-high net worth clientele.

Requirements

  • BA/BS, current CPA designation, minimum 5 years experience in public accounting
  • Advanced understanding of federal and multi-state income tax concepts, GAAP accounting rules and estate tax planning concepts.
  • Must be a self-starter who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment.
  • Must have strong interpersonal, communication, analytical and organizational skills.

Operations Assistant

About the Position

IFA is seeking an Operations Assistant. This is a key position within the company in which the primary responsibility is to ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the monthly billing process of our 2,600 clients. This position has a great deal of interaction with the investment advisors, trading and the client service representatives. This position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and the key duties include:

  • Processing of the monthly billing files in our portfolio management system and export the files to each of our custodians.
  • Process monthly invoices and performance reports for our clients.
  • Calculate and process any client refunds.
  • Responsible for testing of new database releases of our portfolio management system.
  • Ad hoc reports for marketing and compliance regarding client data.
  • Database management which includes ensuring accuracy of client data.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • One to three years prior experience at a financial services firm.
  • Advanced Excel (Pivot tables and VLOOKUP).
  • Pro-active problem solving.
  • Ability to work independently and use good judgment.
  • Software and computer fluency; able to learn new software applications quickly.

Helpful Experience:

  • Knowledge of portfolio management systems (FinFolio, PortfolioCenter, Orion, etc.).
  • Familiar with custodian platforms at Schwab Institutional, Fidelity and/or TD Ameritrade.
  • Experience with SalesForce and SharePoint.

Education Requirements:

  • College graduate preferred; degree in Finance, Economics or Business Administration a plus

Paralegal - Estate Planning

Index Fund Advisors, Inc. is looking for a paralegal that specializes in estate planning. We want to provide value added best in class service to our clients and assist them with the development and maintenance of their estate plan. We intend to establish a national network of highly respected estate planning attorneys to assist our clientele. We are looking for a high energy self-starter who is not afraid to take the ball and run with it. The ability to work closely with team members and communicate thoughts and ideas to a variety of constituents is a must. The ideal candidate will enjoy thinking outside of the box and will thrive in a dynamic environment requiring the ability to manage concurrent priorities.

Duties Include

  • Meet with clients and examine their current estate plan and financial situation
  • Draft estate planning documents including Wills, Trusts, Powers of Attorney and ancillary planning documents
  • Work with estate attorneys to prepare probate documents such as petitions, motions, inventories, accountings and notices; and fiduciary income and estate tax returns for estates and trusts
  • Research and develop a national network of estate planning attorneys
  • Interface with eMoney financial planning software

Qualifications

  • BA / BS and paralegal certification (or combination of paralegal certificate and relevant experience
  • 5 years’ experience specifically in estate planning
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to independently manage workload effectively
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Maintain a flexible mindset and willingness to adapt to change
  • Possesses a high level of professionalism, integrity, reliability, discretion and confidentiality
