The financial advisory business has a low barrier to entry. Your neighbor, hair stylist, or even your pastor can give financial advice. Of course, if they charge for that advice they must register with their state of federal agencies. Deciding which financial advice to follow is the hard part. Believe it or not, even those who have PhDs in the field of finance or economics can give very different opinions on what is in an investor’s best interest. We like to remind clients that when you hire an advisor you accept a risk that the advisor may not give you good advice. 

It is important to understand the qualifications and services offered by the professionals you are entrusting with your personal nest egg. It doesn’t take a PhD to give sound financial advice, but certain credentials do lend themselves to a much higher probability that you are in the right hands. Who We Are

  1. We currently serve 6,088 accounts across 2,253 households, which includes private wealth management, pension plans, endowments, retirement plans, and non-profit organizations. As of March 31, 2017 our clients have trusted us to manage $3.24 billion of their assets.

  2. Your dedicated team includes an IFA Wealth Advisor and Client Service Specialist.

  3. IFA professionals have a total combined experience of close to 240 years across 14 advisors, averaging almost 20 years per professional.

  4. Our firm is compensated solely on our investment advisory fee based on a percentage of assets under management. 

  5. We are a registered investment adviser with the Securities and Exchange Commission and a member of NAPFA, and we are required by law to adhere to a  fiduciary standard of care for our clients. As a Registered Investment Advisor, we fully disclose all fees and conflicts of interest, while selecting investments solely with our clients’ best interests in mind.

  1. We do not collect commissions from securities, insurance, and/or other products that clients buy from a firm with which we are associated.
  2. We have an agreement describing our compensation and services that will be provided in advance of the engagement.
  3. We do not take custody of client assets and do not have the ability to withdraw client assets (aside from investment advisory fees) without client authorization.
  4. No member of our firm acts as a general partner, participates in, or receives compensation from investments we recommend to clients.
  5. We do not receive referral fees from attorneys, accountants, insurance agents, mortgage brokers, or any other professionals.
  6. We receive no on-going income from any of the mutual funds that we recommend in the form of “12b-1” fees, “trailing” commissions, or other continuing payouts.
  7. There are no financial incentives for the products we recommend to clients.
