What Goes into a Robust Retirement Solution

Older hand holding

Saving for retirement is extremely important. As a result, employers can find themselves in a precarious position.

On the one hand, they'd like to do what's best for their employees. Still, even the most well-intentioned plan sponsor might be unsure if a workplace retirement platform is truly offering the best retirement solution for them.

Based on years of experience working with 401(k), 403(b) and similar savings plans offered by employers, I've found that robust solutions must go beyond the basics of choosing the right service providers.

In the end, sponsors need to ultimately address an overriding concern: Are plan participants on track for retirement?

In my view, retirement readiness is a byproduct of many different factors. Some of these issues that I try to raise with clients include:

  • Professional and cost-effective service providers
  • An evidence-based investment solution
  • Participant investment education programs

Accompanied by an independent plan advisor who acts as a fiduciary, I've found that these elements -- when appropriately and effectively implemented -- allow for the greatest potential for participants to have a successful investing experience.

By engaging with me as your independent plan advisor, I'll commit to work with you to receive the following:

  • Independent analysis of the current plan and any recommended changes, if necessary
  • Independent audit to ensure the plan is compliant with ERISA guidelines
  • Side-by-side analysis of current versus recommended plan
  • Pre-developed globally diversified portfolios that meet the needs of all types of investors
  • Complete transparency in terms of fees and all parties involved
  • Custom website that allows participants access to videos, article, charts, and calculators to assist them in their own investment education and decisions
