Advisor Assistant
This position reports to the Director of Operations but will provide support for several Investment Advisors. The candidate must have experience working with a variety of custodian platforms opening accounts; monitoring asset transfers, processing cashiering functions, and internal setup of client billing information. Experience working directly with clients addressing their administrative needs and concerns is a necessity.
Required Experience :
- Has worked with senior advisory staff with practices in excess of $100 million
- Multi-tasking ability to answer phones, courteously greet walk-in customers, while maintaining status of work in progress with a high level of accuracy
- Understands the principles of asset allocation, diversification, rebalancing, and investment risk profiling
- Has demonstrated ability to manage the calendar for the Advisor, calling to set up appointments and follow-up/reminder calls
- Positive, client-focused attitude; pleasant disposition
- Has demonstrated loyalty and consistent performance
- Has exceptional work ethic demonstrating dependable and consistent attendance
- Has evidence of cooperating in a team-based environment, including willingness to accept and implement direction
Required Skills:
- CRM software experience, Salesforce preferred
- Custodian platform experience (IFA uses multiple custodians)
- Microsoft (Word, Excel, Access)

Investment
Advisor Representative
Candidate must be willing to continually educate themselves and their
clients. Working with the client's risk capacity and risk
exposure is our primary concern. Extensive reading of academic
financial research and books on the long term historical stock market
data is required. Approximately 20 books are required reading for
representatives. You can review them in our library.
If you are not interested in how the market really works, do not apply.
You
must have passed a Series 65 exam.
A high level of computer skills is a must, including excel, word and
outlook. Internet knowledge is also very important. We try to leverage
technology to maximize customer service.
Risk
Manager / Mutual Funds Trader
Index Funds Advisors is looking for a Risk Manager/Mutual Funds Trader. The role requires effective completion of tasks, a quick learner and possession of quantitative skills, including math and statistics. A background check, work, and salary history is required.
The ideal candidate has the following attributes :
- Prior experience with asset allocation based portfolio trading and performance measurements. We invest almost exclusively in index funds.
- Sound knowledge of mathematics and statistics related to investment performance measurement and modern portfolio theory.
• Above average knowledge of MS Excel required.
Responsibilities in two areas include :
(1) Portfolio Administration :
• Allocate and rebalance client portfolios for five current advisors.
• Trade index mutual funds through Schwab and Fidelity institutional brokerage operations.
(2) Performance and Risk Analysis :
- Calculate, analyze and audit fund performance.
- Research requests on performance, risk, and portfolio characteristics using multiple index data.
- Help construct tables, graphs, and charts summarizing historic risk and return characteristics of indexes and index portfolios for publication on the web and in a book.

Financial Writer / Editor
Index Funds Advisors is seeking a financial writer/editor to manage the copywriting component of projects from initial conception through final execution. The major project involved with the position is a rewrite of the company CEO's book about investing. Other duties will include writing articles and editing copy for company's Web sites, writing marketing materials, and acting as a liaison with designers and prepress. Candidates should have experience in both financial writing and editing experience.
